New cloud servers commissioned
In our ongoing drive to deliver the best web systems for our clients, we are pleased to announce the roll-out of a new generation of faster, bigger and ultra-secure servers.
With our customer base growing to 300+ websites and our old network starting to approach capacity, the time came to invest in the next generation of cloud servers.
To meet the new requirements we have invested in new server capacity with the following features:
- fully scalable – where websites grow and need additional capacity, we can simply tune up the web space to match.
- more powerful – with additional processing power, we are seeing page load speed. improvements of 40% or more. This means your dental website will now load not just quickly but lightening fast – this is great for user experience and for Google too.
- super secure – our hosting services are located in a leading UK data centre and comply with UK standard 27001 for information security management.
- fail-over redundancy – this simply means that if any hardware fails, there is secondary hardware on stand-by to take over.
- multi-level data backups – in addition to daily and weekly back-ups held within the data-centre, we also take an additional back-up to an off-site location in the unlikely event of a major problem at the data-centre.
All of the measures above mean that you can be confident that your website will function with the highest level of efficiency, 24/7/365 and that your data is extremely secure.
Email services
Our web hosting packages also provide 4 email addresses as standard with additional ones available for a small fee. You will also be able to access a modern control panel which offers web-mail and statistics packages as standard. We can also offer encrypted email facilities.
Business class hosting versus economy hosting
There are numerous providers who offer website hosting, some for as little as £30 per year and to a non-technical person, it probably all looks very similar. However, all is often not quite what it seems on face value. To make money, budget hosting providers cram lots of websites onto the same server to the point where it is overloaded and becomes very slow. Users don’t like slow websites and neither does Google – so you can go cheap but prepare for trouble. Support times with cheap hosts are also notoriously bad – sometimes as long as 2 days before you get a response as to why your site is down. To compare, our average support lead-time is < 4 minutes.
