How much does a website cost? What about return on investment?

At Dental Media we do not offer website packages full of up-sold elements. We believe that all of our websites, large or small should incorporate the latest features and be designed flexibly so that additional information can be added later as required. Please select the link below for typical prices.

A high quality dental website with a good search engine ranking is known to deliver, on average, the second highest number of new patients after word-of-mouth. The return on investment is huge. We will be pleased to illustrate this to you.

We produce a bespoke quotation based on your exact requirements.

The Fundamentals of a Great Dental Website Design:

To ensure an excellent result we follow six key principles when designing websites for dentists:

Aesthetics

First impressions count so each website we build needs to look great for your users. Before we commit the website to “code” we design the site as a static image using your feedback at every stage. Only when you are perfectly happy do we start the process to convert the image to a working website. We look at all aspects – not just how good the site looks but also usability. We ensure that navigation structures are clear, information is well written and presented and that appropriate “calls to action” are used to encourage your visitors to contact you. Ultimately our goal is to build a great looking, highly functional and easy-to-use website that will guide more clients to your practice.

Desk-top, Mobile and Tablet Compatibility - Responsive Design

Our latest sites are fully responsive. This is a state-of-the-art web design technique whereby the site is constructed to adapt seamlessly to all types of device, whether traditional desk-top, tablet or mobile phone. One website means a lower set-up cost and lower running costs.

If you have a recent website that was not optimised for mobile but you are not yet ready to update, we can provide a standard mobile site as an interim measure. This is not ideal but it's better than having no mobile optimisation at all.

On-site search optimisation

It is absolutely no use having a great looking website that no-one can find in the search engines. If you do not hold a prominent position on page one of Google it is very likely that no-one is going to find you. Consequently it is very important to ensure that any new dentist website is set up to be as “search engine friendly” as possible. This includes making sure page titles are search engine optimised, text is correctly seeded with keywords, urls, information hierarchy and inter-page linking are all correct. We do this as standard for every new design.

Off-site search optimisation

Search engines, in particular Google, look very favourably on good quality links back to your own dentist website from other sites of a similar nature. Google sees these links as a vote of confidence for your site and uses the number and quality of them to determine your position in the search rankings. The way these links are formed and the sites they come from are critical to a good ranking position – Dental Media are very experienced at securing such links to ensure your off-site search optimisation and dental website brings you great results.

Website coding

Under the hood of any website is the code or html that makes the website work in the browser. There is good code and bad code and the quality can be the difference between a successful dental website and one that fails in the search rankings. Good website code can make a website faster (essential for Google ranking), accessible for users with disabilities (a legal requirement) and future proof.

Accessibility

Dental Media also lead the field in accessible dental website design but what does this mean? In October 2004, UK law changed to provide a legal framework for web designers and web site operators. This legislation included many factors to ensure that web sites comply with Disability Discrimination Laws (DDA - or more recently the Equality Act 2010) by being fully accessible to people with disabilities. If a site is not designed to these standards, a site owner is open to legal challenge. More information here:

Dental Media design all sites to be fully accessible to protect their client’s best interests and ensure good practice – accessibility is of key importance in modern web design, particularly for professionals providing public services. We ensure all of our websites comply with current legislation.
